It's been 2 years since I created Electra. My pride and joy. <3
I never thought an imaginary character would meant so much to me, but I guess she is a part of me. She is me.
Of course, designs change. I changed Electra's appearance so many times. I never thought I could get it right. She had complete make-overs and her outfit changed almost every time I drew her. I guess I was just learning.
I just wanted to make her original I guess. But then I realized I made her a hedgehog so I have no chance there. But I want inspired by so many other characters which made me want to improve my own. I know Electra has had a drastic change over the few years but I am happy with her design for now. But as we all know...it will change. XD

Originality Technique ImpactUmm... Electard, My professional opinion is when you are creating a character, you have to make it of your own origins or else if you decide to start doing commissions for this kind of artwork, you will lose your fan base if you decide to move onto another type of art because they are only loyal to that fandom (E.G. only a small number of sonic fans will follow you if you decide to transition over into something else)
The technique you employed for sketched pieces are great though, It means you have the potential to draw characters like that but I think it be more prudent to experiment with other genres/subjects.
